What is TyleIQ?

Please see our About page for more information.

Is TyleIQ an advertising platform?

TyleIQ is a content publishing and analytics platform with a unique patent-pending solution for content distribution in an AI-driven world.

Whilst there are some similarities between what we offer and a traditional online advertising platform, TyleIQ is not an advertising platform. There’s no bidding, auctions, or keyword targeting.

One of the core concepts of TyleIQ is that it’s decentralized. You are not bound by a particular content delivery or ad network. Instead, you are free to establish, control, and monetize your own distributed network of websites where your content can be displayed. Please see the Use Cases which explore this concept in more detail.

To make onboarding faster for people who have prior experience with ad networks, we use familiar terms such as Cost per Click (CPC), Click Through Rate (CTR), etc.

TyleIQ is designed to be a content-focussed platform. Customers can use our unique content distribution and analytics features in many different and interesting ways, in addition to their online advertising efforts.

Is TyleIQ an alternative to Google Ads and Bing Ads?

TyleIQ is not a like-for-like replacement for the major ad networks. Some customers use TyleIQ in addition to traditional online advertising as part of their marketing toolbox. That being said, the answer to this question depends on your goals and budget.

Check out our Use Cases for a few examples of how TyleIQ can help you.

Registration

Is it free to register?

Yes, you can register for free and explore our platform and its features. With a free account you can create and edit Tyles.

Is it free to publish Tyles?

No, publishing Tyles and gathering analytics requires a paid plan. We offer many plans at various price points so that you can make the most of your budget.

Explore our plans on the Pricing page.

Plans & Pricing

What are your plans?

We offer a range of plans to suit different needs and budgets. All plans are based on the number of impressions and/or clicks that you need across all of your active Tyles.

Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) plans are a great way to trial our service. They provide the highest level of cost certainty. These plans provide you with a set number of impressions and clicks that never expire. Once that allotment has been used, your Tyles will pause until another plan is purchased.

Monthly plans are designed for businesses who wish to be billed via a subscription. All monthly plans come with an included amount of impressions and clicks, but once that allotment has been used, the plan will incur overage costs for any clicks and impressions exceeding the monthly allotment until the plan renews. Overage is billed at a discounted rate.

You can view all of our plans on the Pricing page.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes, you can easily change or cancel your plan. Plus, we will automatically refund or credit any unused portion of your plan.

  • You can change your plan when your usage reaches 90%, or after 30 days. Whichever comes first. Any unused portion of your plan will be credited to your account and used towards future payments.
  • You can cancel your plan at any time. Any unused portion of your plan will be refunded to your original payment method.

Plan changes and cancellations are a click away. Simply login to your account and visit the Plans & Usage page.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your plan or billing, please contact us. We’re happy to help.

What are “Extra clicks” and “Extra impressions”?

Our monthly plans are subscriptions that come with a set allowance of impressions and clicks per month. Most of our monthly plans also include bonus impressions and clicks depending on the pricing tier.

When choosing a plan, we clearly display all costs and monthly allowances.

If you exceed the allowance of impressions or clicks during the billing period, we charge a discounted rate on any overage – we call those “Extra clicks” and “Extra impressions”. The cost of extra clicks is quoted on a per click basis (CPC), whereas the cost of extra impressions is quoted on a per 1,000 basis (CPM).

To keep your costs as low as possible, extra impressions are billed individually. We do not charge for whole blocks of 1,000 impressions.

How do I choose the right plan?

Start by estimating the number of impressions you need across all of your Tyles. Remember, you can create as many Tyles as you like under any plan.

Next, choose whether you would like to purchase a fixed number of clicks and impressions (Pay-as-you-go plan), or an open-ended quota (monthly plan).

Finally, select the plan that suits your goals and budget.

You can view and compare all of our plans on the Pricing page.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we’re currently offering discounts and bonus impressions on most plans.

Please see the Pricing page for full details.

Do you offer free trials?

We provide some great discounts on many of our plans, but we don’t offer free trials at this time.

Please see the Pricing page for full details.

What content can I publish / not publish in a Tyle?

You can publish HTML, plain text, or images, but there are some restrictions to ensure the safety and security of your audience and our platform.

First, we don’t allow the publication of JavaScript, Unicode, glyphs, or other non-standard characters – either inline or sourced using a <script> or other HTML tag.

Second, we use AI to detect whether the content of a Tyle might be unacceptable and/or illegal. For example, hate speech, brand targeting, spam, or other objectionable content.

Please note, attempts to publish prohibited content is automatically logged and flagged for review, including false positives.

Please see our full Terms of Service for more information.

Can I schedule a Tyle to publish / unpublish on a certain date?

Yes! When you create a Tyle, you can set a date window to control when it should go live and when it should be taken down. We handle the rest automatically.

In addition, you can easily update the publication time window, even if the Tyle is already live.

Technology & Performance

How do I put a Tyle on a webpage?

When a Tyle is created, a code snippet will be provided which can be pasted into any website.

Most websites allow you to edit pages if it was built using a platform like WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, etc. For specific instructions for your website, please see the documentation for your platform or reach out to your web developer.

Once the code snippet is in place, the TyleIQ platform will automatically show the Tyle to your website visitors and start gathering analytics.

For detailed instructions, please see the Docs.

Does TyleIQ work on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc.?

Yes to everything!

TyleIQ is designed to work on any CMS or website platform that allows you to publish a JavaScript snippet (<script> tag). Go ahead and deploy your Tyles without any plugins or worrying about the tech.

Does putting a Tyle on a web page impact SEO?

Generally speaking, Tyles have no positive or negative impact on SEO from a content perspective. Tyles are displayed using JavaScript which search engines can render, so we recommend that you follow the same content quality guidelines when creating Tyles.

From a technical perspective, Tyles are designed to load very fast and without interfering or blocking other elements on the page. This means that Tyles will have virtually no impact on most Page Speed Insights (PSI) scores.

If your Tyle is placed above-the-fold and it contains a large image or a lot of text, we recommend running PSI tests to check whether there is any impact.

What analytics are available?

Each Tyle has its own set of reporting metrics which makes it easy to track and measure performance.

Our analytics reports provide a comprehensive view of your content’s performance, including key metrics such as:

  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Average Click-Through Rate (CTR)
  • Average Time on Page
  • Mouseovers
  • Swipes and taps
  • Top pages by Impressions
  • Top pages by Clicks
  • Top geographic locations
  • … and more!
Can I use Tyles to track individual users?

No – our analytics services are anonymous by design. Tyles do not track individuals as they move between websites, nor do they collect any personally identifying information (PII).

Are Tyles GDPR compliant?

Yes – when you embed a Tyle into a web page, it looks for privacy and consent settings provided by Consent Management Platforms (CMPs).

At this time, our platform is compatible with sercentrics Cookiebot and Complianz. Please let us know if there’s a CMP you’d like added to this list.

Consent is evaluated in two parts:

  1. Loading a Tyle is considered functional or necessary, because it is rendered inline and in context, typically providing key content, including important and functional links, buttons, etc.
  2. Analytics, however, requires statistics or marketing consent before transmitting data back to our servers.
